The school has had series of Graduation, Speech and Prize Giving Days, but yesterday stood out because some things played out that were very significant for the future.
CORefuge Special School is a literal sanctuary for orphans, children from vulnerable and disadvantaged backgrounds. They school there for FREE. The graduation ceremony was for 2024 set.
Something unique played out at the graduation that revealed the children are specially loved by God and honoured by men.
In an unusual outing, the High Table was filled with monarchs, and it seemed like it was a Rendezvous of Royal Majesties🏇🏇🏇🏇🏇🏇🏇
The table was led by the office of His Royal Majesty, the Ngolong Ngas, Nde Jika Polit. His wife, the Queen, Maran Jika Polit was there live as well.
And so also several other Royal Highnesses, about seven of them, on the first and second row of the high table!
Indeed, the children were honoured!
Yes, the joy of our children at the event was particularly infectious.
Although coming from disadvantaged backgrounds, they did not only were able to benefit from our Free Secondary School project, through the benevolent of one man, all of them got registered for JAMB, NECO and NABTEB SSCE’S for FREE!
And the result that is out already, is the JAMB, which reveals that, all of them qualify for admission into A Levels👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼: some for degree programmes; some for NCE’s, others for various other diplomas. This is indeed God at work🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼!
Some of them came to JSS 1 hardly able to even spell their names. And you do not blame them. They emerged from some of the most mushroom primary schools you can ever think of!
The school had to enroll them in a Reading Clinic, to learn alphabet and sounds, and to teach them to love words, and to explore story books 📚, until they fell in love with letters, and words.
Today, the are ripe for the future beckoning them to step into her….
Bravo to ALL OUR PRECIOUS WARDS.
The children received the assurance that there would be some soft scholarships for anyone of them that has the qualifications to enter University.
